This cartoon also has a theme song called "Out in the Desert". The original pilot was produced by David H. Depatie with supervising director Chuck Jones. Portions of this cartoon - the opening theme song and scenes of the Coyote speaking to the audience - are available on the third disc of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 1 in the special feature, "Toon Heads: The Lost Cartoons". The entire cartoon is available on the second disc of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 2.

Road Runner a Go-Go is one of 3 cartoons reused from the unsold pilot Adventures of the Road-Runner. It recycles the catapult gags from one of the other of these three, the 1963 release To Beep or Not to Beep. Milt Franklyn is credited as the musician with the correct spelling of his name. This is probably stock music as Milt Franklyn had died in 1962. It follows the format of Adventures of the Road Runner with Wile E. Coyote speaking to the viewing audience.
