This is the first trailer of the Dubbed version of Gundam 00. Gundam 00 will be premiering in the US on November 24th of this year on the Sci-Fi channel. Yeah, the Sci-Fi channel, not Adult Swim. im new to gundam,ive always heard about it,I know its been around forever but I never watched it,Is this the start of gundam or do I need to go farther back? is this more of a kids show or does it have blood and swearing?

This is the LATEST Gundam series out. For the start, you need to go all the way back to Mobile Suit Gundam which was made in 1979. If continuity is your worry, then don't worry, because each Gundam story, e.g. Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, etc. are all set in separate universes and individual continuities. Gundam 00 is the start of it's own unique story. As for blood and swearing, both are just mild, but it's definitely not 'kiddy'. It's quite political too.
